CARLINVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer team went into the offseason on a high note with a 2-1 win over Blackburn on Saturday.
Greenville held a 2-0 lead at halftime after Jones goal in the 18th minute was assisted by Caleb Carpenter, and Bueno added a goal in the 38th minute.
Goalkeeper Jesus Hernandez permitted one goal but collected six saves as he recorded his first win.
Greenville had five shots on goal, led by Bueno with a pair on goal. The Panthers took a total of 13 shots in the match.
The Panthers concluded their season with a record of 8-11 (3-6 SLIAC).
