KENOSHA, Wis. — The men's track and field team ended their indoor campaign at the Carthage NCAA qualifying meet. Nathan Potts was an event winner in the 800 meter run.
Potts placed first for the fourth consecutive week by winning the 800 meter run in a time of 1:57.01.
Assisted by Tyler Kimes, who served as an early pace-setter, Potts ran his second best indoor time of the season.
Senior Jaylen Shelton broke the two minute barrier for the first time indoors with a time of 1:59.43 for second place.
Mangold was the first collegiate runner across the line with a time of 4:18.36. It was just shy of the school record which he owns at 4:18.27.
Teammate Dylan Goodyear shaved six seconds off his personal best while finishing as the second collegiate finisher with a time of 4:30.48.
The Panthers will open the outdoor season on Saturday, March 24, at Washington-St. Louis.
