Men's volleyball wins one of two on Saturday

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's volleyball team faced MSOE and Dordt on Saturday and recorded a three set loss to MSOE before topping Dordt in three sets.

The Panthers lost 26-24, 25-20, 25-22 to MSOE.

Greenville kept pace in all three sets, but they came up short.

Manuel Benitez posted 14 kills to lead Greenville, and his setter Tanner Smith had 29 assists.

Smith and Kyle Ward recorded two service aces.

Nick Corrigan provided 10 digs, and Ward provided a solo block and block assist.

Greenville rolled to a 25-22, 25-17, 25-11 win against Dordt.

Benitez was the top producer with 10 kills, but he produced a .069 hitting percentage.

Johnny Milabu gave GC eight kills in 11 attacks with just one error as he hit .636.

Isaiah Canales checked in with a .500 hitting percentage with seven kills and one error in 12 attempts.

Smith provided 31 assists, and Andrew Johnson provided nine digs.

Canales had three block assists.

The Panthers (6-14, 1-13 MCVL) travel to Fontbonne for an MCVL match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
