DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The men's volleyball team avenged an early season loss with a five-set win over Loras in their final match of the season. The Panthers and Duhawks alternated wins in the first four sets before providing an entertaining 21-19 ending set. The final score was 17-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 21-19.
Manuel Benitez ended the season with dominating 28 kill performance as he hit .353. Benitez was also solid on defense with 11 digs, one solo block, and two block assists.
Andrew Johnson posted a 14 kill outing and also had 11 digs.
Tanner Smith set a career and school record with 63 assists in the match.
The Panthers concluded their season with a record of 10-16 (4-15 MCVL) as they ended the season on a high note with five wins in their last seven matches.
