Men's volleyball topped at Loras

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The men's volleyball team took a three-set loss in their first CCIW match on Saturday against Loras.

Loras won 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

After ending with negative hitting percentages of -.200 and -.241 in the opening sets, Greenville had seven kills, three errors, and 19 attacks in the final set to hit .211.

George Black managed to lead the Panthers in kills, contributing 12 to GU's effort.

Alejandro Condoy helped Greenville with 11 assists, and Jacob Hughes had two service aces.

On defense, Ryan Nelson led GU with nine digs and the Panthers had three blocks.

The Panthers (1-7, 0-1 CCIW) travel to Maranatha Baptist next weekend to play Marian and Maranatha Baptist.
