HOLLAND, Mich. -- The third NCAA tournament appearance for the softball team ended on Saturday with a 10-0 four and a half inning loss to Franklin. The Panthers saw their tournament schedule postponed on Friday due to rain, but the tournament organizers brought forward a new schedule that extended play to Monday.
Greenville fell behind in the first inning 1-0, and Franklin put a six on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth. The Grizzlies ended the game after five innings when they reached a 10-0 lead.
The Panthers (21-17) were SLIAC tournament champions for the fourth time overall.
