Women's soccer collects 1-0 win at MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team moved closer to clinching an appearance in the SLIAC tournament with a 1-0 win at MacMurray on Wednesday.

Greenville's Breanna Thomas notched her 10th goal of the season in the sixth minute of the contest, and it held up to give GU the victory.

The Panthers managed to collect 11 shots during the match, led by a trio with two each.  Thomas, Dani Pearce, and Brooklyn Haro all had two shots.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates delivered the shutout, her third of the season.  Coates produced two saves.

The Panthers (11-5, 4-2 SLIAC) host Westminster on Saturday at 4 p.m. in their Homecoming/Senior Day match.
