Women's track and field collects two wins in weekend meets

The women's track and field team went to Washington-St. Louis and Lindenwood for meets on Friday and Saturday.  The runners and jumpers competed at Washington-St. Louis, and the throwers traveled to Lindenwood.  The women returned with a sixth place finish at Washington-St. Louis.

The Lady Panthers were provided with two winning entries, both from sprinter Chelsea Gilles.

Gilles gained a pair of wins as she grabbed wins in the 200 meter and 400 meter dashes with time of 25.09 and 56.84 seconds, respectively.

Jayda Fowler was third in the 400 as she finished in 1:04.09.

Janisha Pealer placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 4.88 meters.

The Lady Panthers will travel to Millikin for a meet next weekend.
