Women's track and field places sixth at NCCAA outdoors

SHAWNEE, Okla. -- The women's track and field team posted 51 points to record a sixth place showing of 21 teams at the NCCAA national championships.

Sierah Ruffner was a national champion in the high jump as she was the only person to clear 5-3.75.

Chelsea Gilles was second in the 400 meter dash with a mark of 54.68 seconds.

Rachel Hanna gained a third place height in the pole vault with a height of 9-10.

Brooke Goodyear was a fourth place winner in the 3000 meter steeplechase as she clocked a time of 12:15.18.

The Lady Panthers wil send entries to the NCAA qualifier at North Central next week.
