Dan Wilcher came to Greenville University in the fall of 2018 as the graduate assistant coach.
As an assistant coach, Wilcher works in various areas of the program. He trains the infielders on the defensive side, and he instructs the hitters alongside the head coach. In addition, he coordinates the baserunning instruction.
Off the field, Wilcher is in charge of overseeing the team's strength and conditioning program, and he assists as one of the recruiting coordinators for the team.
Wilcher brings two years of prior experience to the position. He spent two years as a volunteer assistant at Huntington University, and he also has a year of experience of coaching in the Coastal Plaines League for the Fayetteville Swampdogs in 2017. The Swampdogs claimed a first half division championship in his season with the team.
Wilcher played three years as an infielder at Huntington University. His career was ended due to multiple arm injuries during his junior season. He graduated from Huntington in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He is currently pursing a master's degree in education of coaching and leadership.
